Important information about the Secondary Mortgage Market
New loans are frequently sold in the secondary marketplace which means that the servicing of your loan may be transferred to another company. Prior to transferring the servicing, you will receive a welcome letter from the new company, along with information regarding where to make your payments and other vital contact information.
The assignment, sale or transfer of the servicing of your mortgage loans does not affect any of the terms or conditions of the mortgage instrument, and is not a reflection on you or your credit. If your loan was escrowed at the time it closed with Impac Mortgage Corp., Amerihome Mortgage Corporation or Excel Mortgage Servicing, Inc., your new servicer will continue to have funds escrowed for taxes and insurance. Any escrow balances will be transferred to your new servicer.
